• Sound absorption, reflection and diffusion strategies in the design of the room make for a complicated recording space.
• Variable acoustics: the side wall panels may be opened or closed (or anywhere in between) to adjust the acoustic behavior of the side walls.
• The engineer needs to know how these elements of the room influence the sound qualities of the tracks being recorded.
